This was such a special day wrapped in an even more special weekend with my family -the "Boston Lebels". I had to send my regrets for my dear cousin Elyse's wedding earlier that summer. I always told Kamila that I could see both Elyse and my other cousin Anique in her smile. I knew in my gut it would be too soon to attend her wedding.

The good that came out of this decision is that I committed to bringing the kids down to visit when things would be more quiet. This trip to Cape Cod ended up being incredibly significant on my grief journey. Our surrogate family wrapped their arms around us and brought so much warmth and care for our broken hearts.

Eli had the honour of releasing Kamila's ashes at this beautiful beach, where I promised I would bring her to some day.
